For example: $ darcs help record (pressing q) ^C^C^C^C^C^C And CPU load is 100%. It happiens randomly. SIGKILL helps. Used version 2.2.0 (release) of darcs on debian testing. Attachments unnamed

This is a duplicate of 1278. The solution is not to use GHC 6.10.1 to compile darcs. If your darcs was not compiled with GHC 6.10.1, please re-open issue 1278 and leave a message there.
