When using darcs on windows, I create a dos shell.
Then when I go to run some operation, say, a push to a non-responsive server,
darcs sits and spins indefinitely. However, I cannot seem to hit ctrl-c to break
out of this loop, so the only option left to me is to close the window and lose
where I am, leak the _lock file, lose my history, etc.

Hi Edward! (You're not at the ICFP, I suppose?)
Is it just on darcs push that this happens? You said generically 'some
operation' giving push as example, but I just wanted to double check that it
really was just an example because there is issue1502 which looks related.

Heya Eric. Alas, I'm still back here in Boston having spent my personal budget
for conference travel for the year. ;)
The particular case when it happened to me was actually, a push, yes.
Apparently I can Ctrl-Break out of every other activity, now that I'm
investigating it in more detail.
As a side-note, it never seems to come back from the attempted ssh-based push,
even though the server can be talked to fine from a linux VM from the same
machine over the same network and is responsive otherwise.
I'm just using the darcs windows binaries available from darcs.net.

Because there are so many choices: Which Windows SSH tool are you using?

2.2.0-win1 binary with SSH support files.
^-- Whatever that refers to. It comes with some libssh -style DLLs, which I
presume it would then use. I have no idea how Salvatore built it.
