From time to time, darcs gives me this: $ darcs wh . darcs: darcsFormatDir: missing hash on "Portage" When running the command again, it works as expected. I'm using hashed-storage 0.3.6.

Also: I'd be interested to hear about tips for helping trigger the error since (chatting with Lennart live yesterday) one of the annoying things about this bug is that it only happens once in a while and then goes away!

Hi. Yes, upgrading to hashed-storage 0.3.7 is definitely advisable, it fixes a number of bugs (you need to recompile darcs as well). So this may be fixed, and if this happens around uses of ``darcs whatsnew filepath``, then this is actually very likely to be fixed. If I meet Reinier soon, we will make a 2.3.1 that requires 0.3.7...

OK. Lennart, please shout if you see this again after this upgrade (or after upgrading to 2.3.1 when it comes out). If I don't hear back from you by the time Darcs 2.4 is out, I'll mark this presumed-dead.

Unfortunately I have no clue what triggers it, it seems random to me. I've upgraded to hashed-storage 0.3.7 (and recompile darcs), and I'll keep you posted if it happens again.

I've not had any issues with this since I upgraded hashed-storage. I'm guessing the issue went away with the new version.
