I don't have equivalent output with darcs-2.4 because annotate is so 
slow and I need to go home.  Can anybody reproduce?  And if so, how far 
back does this go?  This could use some shrinking, perhaps

Could it be something wrong with my repository?  If so, why don't we 
notice? (darcs check is fine)

Affects my darcs-2.4.3 either.  Not sure what we need to do here.
Maybe I need to make a tarball, fetch a fresh copy --no-cache and compare 
notes.

Huh, I just ran into this again on a separate machine.  Uploading

Annotate implementation is different now, and the ghc repository no
longer exists, I say we give up on this.
