Sorry for the unhelpfully vague and general bug description.
In reviewing patch424, I mentioned some tests I wrote which seemed to 
fail.

I'm just creating this ticket so I have something to link the test 
against because I no longer understand/remember the issues or know if the 
failures were actually meaningful.

I'm updating the (failing) test for this issue so that it tests that one
cannot do add/remove/move in a non-working-dir repository.
