More information in reply from 'darcs apply'

Subject: More information in reply from 'darcs apply'

Currently, when a patch is applied using 'darcs apply' the email
contains the subject "Patch applied" with the contents "Finished
applying...". It would be nice for the response email to have more
information. This is good just as a reminder of what changes were sent.
More importantly, if multiple changes are sent, the author can easily
see which of his or her patches were accepted without having to access
the repository.

A ChangeLog-type response would be nice. The subject could be something
like "Darcs patch applied: Patch name" and the body could contain the
long comment and possibly the repository the patch was applied to.

I also share the 'wish' for this improvement.

I believe you get more output with the same approach you normally would get more
output: by asking darcs for it.

e.g. you could use the --verbose or --debug flags to get more information output.

Wait, I think this bug is talking about the email response that darcs
apply --reply generates, not about the screen output.

The point of --reply is supposed to be that the email *is* the screen output.

Thanks. Marking as (trivially) resolved.
Please feel free to re-open and argue the point.

Yep sounds fine to me. I guess I never think to use --verbose unless
I'm getting errors.
