Is it possible I wonder if darcs could be made to dynamically cache patches as it gets them so if you are in the middle of getting patch 1 through 200 of 405 and it dies or is killed by the user it will keep those patches and apply them so that the next time you won't have to start all over again. This is fixed by darcs2 global cache feature, I think.
