I'm running a copy of darcs2 from the unstable repo build today, 2008-01-19. 
When I run an amend-record and browse through the patch history to find the one
I want, a note comes up at the bottom of my terminal: "Reading patches in ...".
 That overwrites the "Shall I amend this patch? ..." prompt.  I waited a while
before figuring out that it wasn't actually doing anything.

This is initial part of a new progress reporting framework you are seeing. While
it will eventually improve the interface overall, right now there are several
commands like the one you find that it interferes with. 

I'm assigning this ticket to droundy, who was already working on this part of
the code.

I believe I've fixed this issue, with a patch that's right now making its way
into the central repository.  Thanks for the bug report! (and for testing darcs 2!)

I just re-built darcs-unstable, and a bug like this is still present. To trigger
it, I just had to use "darcs send -p zooko". 

A report comes up, covers the "Shall I send this patch" line, and then does not
disappear automatically.

Okay.  Now today I fixed this again (I think)! Thanks for re-opening it Mark!
