Today I was trying to use darcs 2.0.2 to 'get' a repo in the 1.x format. It
eventually failed like this:
darcs failed: Cannot remove non-empty file ./zoo/foo.jpg
The repo is unfortunately large and private and can't be made available.
I would understand if the resolution is that this is the result of a darcs 1.x
bug that darcs 2.x no longer produces, and can't cope with resolving.
Still, if there is a possible way for darcs 2 to workaround whatever the issue
is, that would be nice.
I think my workaround will be to "cp" the source repository instead of
re-getting it.

I review what the patch does. It deletes many files and directories. Possibly
the ordering got confused somewhere along the way.

Any chance this is related to http://bugs.darcs.net/issue693 ?

It could be. It's difficult for me to tell exactly what the other bug was.
I believe I tried 'repair' with Darcs 2.0.2 in this case, but I could mistaken.

Wait, it looks like this is already fixed in 2.0.2, as I when I just re-tried
repair, I got this result instead:
WARNING: Fixing removal of non-empty file ./zoo/foo.jpg
Great! (Perhaps I thought I was using 2.0.2 before and I just wasn't.).
Marking as resolved.

I think that repair might already be modified to fix this problem.
But I don't remember for certain.
