I tarred up and scp'ed the source repo onto the same (Windows)  
machine.  Then "darcs get" succeeds, but subsequently "darcs check"  
or "darcs repair" in the gotten repo fail in a similar way: "darcs  
failed:  binary patch to ./misc/dependencies/setuptools-0.6c7- 
py2.5.egg couldn't apply.".

Hm.  That isn't the *exact* same failure though...
