That sounds good, particularly if there were two (or more) patches
involving the tar.gz file, which would explain the continued persistence of
the repository corruption. Otherwise I'd like to have a chance to look at
the corrupt repository (which won't happen this week while I'm at a
conference).
If is just the one patch adding the tarball, then I'd not close the bug
just yet. If there are more than one, then I think I know why there's a
problem, and it should be fixed, and you could close the bug before I have
a chance to look at the repo.
