I've noticed that what appears to be an infinite loop in our build scripts. We seem to be running ./config.status to generate autoconf.mk, src/Autoconf.lhs, among other files and then re-running configure

I have tried to track this down by unpulling and repulling patches, but now I cannot reproduce it. I'm hoping it was just be misinterpreting the configure, make output.
