The darcs manual currently does not make it clear and unambiguous which flavor of regular expressions is used in the boringfile. A sentence added to the documentation would be most welcome.

An incoming fix addresses this for "darcs help --match", but for other places it'll get fixed as I work on that area of documentation. If you want me to assign this a higher priority, comment on the task.
