Hello, I've just found a strange behaviour on darcs 2.3.1 (+ 310 patches) on 
Windows Vista.

Pushing a patch to a remote repo, gives me:

darcs: mmap of '_darcs/index' failed: does not exist (No such file or directory)

What is the version of Darcs on the remote host?
What does "darcs show repo" show for that repo, on the remote host?

The remote repo was created with darcs 2.3.1 stable.

          Type: darcs
        Format: hashed, darcs-2
          Root: M:/myproj/
      Pristine: HashedPristine
         Cache: thisrepo:M:/myproj,
cache:C:\Users\lmolteni\AppData\Roaming\darcs\cache, repo:c

I just noticed this was still open will trying to look for things
related to issue1753.  In case it was related.  Since this was a target
2.4 regression, I'm going to bump the urgency on it.

this release :-(

Hello Eric, I've tried the 2.4 windows binary from Salvatore, and
there is still a little bug.

The error message changed to:

darcs: _darcs/index: MoveFileEx: permission denied (The process cannot

Apply failed!

The good news is that this happens in only one of my work's
repositories (on a network share on Windows), and deleting the
_darcs/index files all works without problems.

Maybe it happened because I used different versions of darcs.

I wonder if we can close the bug?

Thanks Luca, I'm going to mark this as presumed-dead (I suppose we don't
really know how resolved this is; just that it doesn't seem to happen
anymore with new Darcs) and open a new ticket for the new message.
