This should ideally be separate tickets, but I'm in a hurry, sorry! We should make sure that we've implemented the recommendations from 2010-03 sprint about default switches: http://wiki.darcs.net/DefaultSwitches See patch259 and patch285 (which I think you can cherry pick some bits and pieces out of as needed)

Whatever is not yet resolved about this won't be resolved in 2.5. The 'send --edit-description' and 'pull/push/send/fetch --no-set-default' changes are in.

Whoops, I went and opened issue1898 because I thought this was marked resolved. Anyway, I guess it's technically the right thing to do, so this ticket is now waiting-for that ticket to be resolved.
