I don't know about this one.  It could end up being more confusing this way in
the long run.  I would rather this sort of stuff be as simple, stupid and
consistent as possible.

If anybody wants to implement this, I'd recommend checking to see what
darcs-users thinks first.  I'm leaning fairly strongly towards "no", but could
change my mind.

I still don't agree. The same arguments still hold. It has been a long time and 
I wrote some scripts which work around this limitation. So it doesn't bother me 
as much as it once did.

So I accept "wont-fix" as a valid resolution to this issue. Thank you. :)
