There was an attempt to write an invalid pending! If possible, please send the contents of _darcs/patches/pending_buggy along with a bug report. Note for stable branch: this fix depends on the fix for issue273, which unfortunately depends on the Repository refactoring patches (my bad, recorded in wrong branch), so everything has to wait one turn to enter stable. :-(
