That's a feature

On the other hand, that sounds like a bug.  Could you be so kind as to submit a
minimal example so that we can reproduce it?  It will likely end up going in our
test suites.

This might be a duplicate of issue414, which is also waiting on an example to
reproduce it.

I'm resolving this, as pending handling has been completely rewritten since
1.0.8, with many buggy-pending bugs fixed.  Without the ability to reproduce
this, this bug report doesn't gain us anything.
