Something in the build probably needs to be serialized.

This page explains more about the issues with supporting parallel make and how to address them, when someone gets a chance to look at this further. http://developers.sun.com/solaris/articles/parallel_make.html ( I don't have a dual-core machine at home, so I'm not volunteering for this one. :)

I've just performed a parallel make -j4 dist, so I'm closing this. If you get errors in the future, reopen with an error message please.
