* Please put this variable in the remote repositories section
(unless there's a reason it's really more general than that)
* Please have a look at the darcs help environment mechanism. It seems
like there isn't a way at the moment to avoid duplication in the
documentation, so you may have to repeat this text as a Haskell string
:-( [probably a separate patch]
