a pre-1.0.6 version.  Could you let us know the output of "darcs
- --version"?  Could you try if this problem is still present the most

We no longer use darcs so are unable to see if this error still exists.
Darcs was just too unstable and too buggy for our needs. We are now
using git.

Thanks, Tim.  Sorry to hear that and hope you folks are happy with git.

Note for darcs folk: I've done some digging, and it looks pretty much like
issue406.  I'm betting that Tim's repository was partial.  The fromJust in
question now lives in write_recorded_checkpoint (Darcs.Repository.Checkpoint) in
darcs 1.1.0pre

Deferring to that because we won't be able to follow up on this one.

I just submitted a regression test update to "partial.sh" which demonstrates
that this bug is "resolved in unstable" using Darcs 2 and a darcs-2 format
repository.
