I don't know if this is actually a bug, or if it's intentional. I guess it doesn't really matter as it affects only the bleeding edgers. The format file of the new repository just says 'hashed'

This is a serious bug. Getting a darcs2-experimental repository should cause darcs to fail. David

The following patch updated the status of issue794 to be resolved in the unstable branch: * resolve issue794: don't stop on first repoformat success. Unfortunately, this bug means that older versions darcs might not be aware of potential forwards-compatibility issues, where the new, unrecognised lines in repoformat come after a familiar one.
