Oh, thanks for those details!  What I meant [in my own failure to be
specific] was that it would be good if you made explicit what was
wrong with this behaviour, rather than leaving us to guess what you
mean by it.  In this case, it seems pretty clear (and I've had some
sort of frustration like this before), but explicitly saying "darcs
does not let me use backspace" would be better.

Anyway, further replies on this topic should be on the issue728, as
you are already doing.
